Coordinating fire safety work across retail sites
TestUK coordinated surveys and fire door remedial activity across a retail programme delivered through a contracting partner. Site visits, additional works and final reporting were progressing at different stages across the estate.
The requirement
The delivery team needed a shared view of live jobs, planned dates, outstanding reports and decisions awaiting approval. The contracting partner also needed a focused progress update that could be used to manage its own reporting to the end customer.
How TestUK coordinated the programme
TestUK introduced a project status tracker to bring current dates, job status and key comments into one view. A separate progress summary drew on the main record and included the information relevant to the contracting partner.
The updates distinguished scheduled visits from completed site activity, highlighted final reports still awaited and recorded variations requiring approval. The team followed up outstanding information and flagged risks to agreed dates.
The result
The programme was managed using a shared status record and a separate progress summary. These records made the next action visible alongside site dates, helping the delivery team and contracting partner follow progress while work remained in hand.
The example demonstrates coordination and reporting during a live programme. Completion status remained specific to each job and its supporting documentation.
Customer identities, site locations and commercial terms are confidential.
