EICR reporting across a retail estate
TestUK completed electrical installation condition reports, or EICRs, for multiple premises within a retail estate. Each premises had its own inspection record, reflecting the installation and the scope assessed at that location.
The requirement
The premises had different electrical installations and operating conditions. Access to areas and the ability to isolate circuits affected what could be inspected and tested. The reporting needed to preserve those differences so that findings could be understood site by site.
How TestUK delivered the work
The reports recorded the inspection scope, agreed and operational limitations, observations, and schedules of inspection and test results. Where access or isolation restricted the assessment, the limitations were documented within the relevant report.
The inspection records identified items requiring further action. Individual reports retained the connection between each installation, the observations made and the extent of the assessment.
The result
The completed reports provided a separate record for each premises and a basis for planning follow-on investigation or remedial work. Keeping the findings alongside the limitations helps a property team interpret what has been assessed and what still needs attention.
